I'm Tika and I've spent 15 years becoming the kind of marketer most brands only find once.
I started as a founding marketer who was a generalist, scrappy, resourceful, building from nothing with whatever was available.
At Skyscanner, where I spent nearly 8 years, I found my home, a place where bold ideas got backing and integrated thinking was rewarded. That's where I went deep into influencer marketing, not as a silo but as a growth engine with a strong commercial drive. I learned what it really looks like when everything works together. I carried that integrated approach everywhere I went after.
When I eventually started consulting work, I expected to find brands ready to build. What I actually found was something more fundamental.
I spent a lot of time helping early-stage founders and solopreneurs, people with big ambitions and the energy to match. What I found, almost universally, was that the marketing foundation wasn't there and without clarity on the why and the who even the best marketing tactics build on sand.
I’ve seen bigger brands have a different version of the same problem. Marketing running in silos, channels duplicating effort, teams working hard but not together, and momentum never quite building.
Then there's influencer marketing, my deepest specialism, still one of the most misunderstood channels in the industry. Most brands either ignore its full potential or measure it the wrong way and write it off. Done right, it's not just awareness and it's not just performance. It's both with an organic growth impact that compounds long after the campaign ends.
